I believe sharing stories and experiences is the best way to teach people to empathize.
— JANE GOODALL, primatologist & UN Messenger of Peace

Imagine a Texas in which all individuals with disabilities are identified and receive an education that maximizes their future potential for post-secondary education, employment, and independent living.

That's the TxSER vision.

Right now, that might seem like a lofty goal. It might even seem like an impossible one. But as the great Nelson Mandela said, "It's always impossible until it's done."

We're not the types to let the impossible get in our way.
We live the impossible every day. We overcome the impossible every day. We laugh in the face of impossible!

Well, okay, maybe that's not always true. But what is true is our belief in the ability of every child to achieve his or her potential. What is true is our belief in the power of the educational civil rights of children with disabilities to to do that. And what is true is that we are fiercely, tenaciously, relentlessly committed to building a unified movement to achieve our vision.

We want you on our team.
We hope you'll learn more about how we started, how we're building a unified movement, how your organization can become an ally, and how you as an individual who shares our vision can join the movement.

And we also want to know who you are, what drives your vision for reform, and what areas of reform are especially important to you. We think the elected officials and and education leaders and policy makers of Texas should know that too.

So, please, send us a photograph with your message for positive reform.
Nothing fancy, just a snapshot of yourself or your family and the one thing you want everyone to know. Be sure to include #wearetxser.

We Are TxSER. Couldn't be prouder. And if they can't hear us, we'll say it a little louder.
